Central District Cadet Officers,
The Cadet Officer Council, previously known as HQ NCC Parade and Ceremony Committee, provides our Cadet Officers with opportunities to serve beyond the scope of their duties in HQ NCC.
In addition, we also nurture and groom deserving Cadet Officers with potential to take up pinnacle appointments in events and courses.
We are charged with the mandate, by SM NCC, to appoint Cadet Officer OIC/2ICs for the following:
- ALL Parades and Ceremonies segments in HQ NCC i.e. NDP, NCC Day Parade, SYFOC, TOC/COC POP, Affirmation
- For the following events and courses: SSC, ADC, NCC Day Parade, SYFOC, NCC Day Dinner/ Dining In, National Camp, Affirmation, Change of Command, Cadet Officer Forum/ Cohesion.
For Parade and Ceremonies segments, the Council will appoint a Cadet Officer OIC. He/she will be fully in charge of
- Parade selection sessions, conducted by Cadet Officers (save NDP Contingent Commanders)
- Refresher and rehearsal sessions when required
All Cadet Officers are eligible for membership into Cadet Officer Council. There are two tiers of membership:
Junior Members:
Junior Members:
- Min rank of C/2LT
- Able to commit to the Corps for at least 8 months
Senior Members:
- Min rank for C/LTA
- 1 x Major Parade/ Event Appointment Holder (as a Cadet Officer)
- 1 x Minor Parade/ Event Appointment Holder (as a Cadet Officer)
Only Senior Members will be considered for Event/ Course OIC/2IC for the events and courses mentioned above. Junior Members are eligible to take up sub-committee roles in events/ parades. Holding event and parade appointments (e.g. NCC Day Parade, ADC) will count towards your promotion to C/LTA, or C/CPT if the portfolio is sufficiently challenging.
Application for membership is now open. Please use this link and fill in the details stated on the form, where applicable: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1gvgkV0u56aPU6W1X9AigaLFMegRODYgXeLVlzyg0FnE/viewform
Do note that it is only when you are a member of Cadet Officer Council will you be considered for key appointments for future events (e.g. TOC, SYFOC, Affirmation etc). So you may choose to sign up as a Senior/ Junior member without needing to contribute to the current event on hand (NCC Day Parade). But if your name is surfaced up to us earlier, it will give us more time to assess your suitability to contribute to future events.
