The NCC-NYAA team is a niche club under Development of the Cadet Officer EXCO. We aim to assist Cadet Officers in achieving the prestigious NYAA Gold Award through activities and initiatives organised by our very own team of Cadet Officers. The following is a brief overview of the NYAA components and how NCC can assist you in completing them:
Service (60 hrs over 12 months): Coming back for events such as Technical Handling, IMT, and Camps will allow you to complete this component.
Adventurous Journey (4d3n): We will be working together with the NCC Fitness Club to bring up a new initiative known as Exploration Adventure Training Cadre (EATC) whereby participants' fitness will be put to test.
Skills (18 Months): Participants can choose from a wide range of social, cultural and technical activities. They work on enhancing their talents in a specific field – music, arts, cooking, and photography, among many others. Any skill that you undertake during this time such as Kayaking Star Awards, Driving License, etc. counts to this component.
Physical Recreation (40 hours over 12 weeks): Any form of physical recreation (Gym, Jogging, Swimming, etc.) throughout the 12 weeks counts to this component.
Residential Project (Gold only): There will be an upcoming NCC initiative by Cadet Officers known as Project Helping Hands (PHH). PHH is a community service initiative by the Cadet Officer EXCO whereby participants offer cleaning services in teams to needy families.
*Do take note that a registration fee of $17 to be paid to NYAA Council will be required if you decide to start on the Gold award. Do contact C/LTA Calson at 91836919 if you have any questions.
