Stories for NCC Newsletter

NCC is planning to restart its newsletter once again! We require stories from Teacher Officers, Cadet Officers, and Cadets and even how their families have been impacted. Below are some points other Uniformed Groups brought up in their newsletters. You may refer to them, together with the questions at the bottom, to help form your story. Points may simply be listed out and there is no need to write them out in an essay format. Some of the stories given may be used for NCC events such as District Affirmation Ceremonies and NCC Day Dinner. Cadet Officers are encouraged to collect the stories on their unit's behalf together with the names and rank of the cadets that have given their story as well. Cadet Officers are also welcome to submit their own stories.

Points brought up by other UGs:
- Personal experiences gained
- Effects the activity/events have on their family
- Engaging activities
- Event highlights
- Educational points gained from learning journey(s)

Guiding questions:
- How has NCC impacted your lives? (e.g. various skills learnt/becoming a better person & leader/soft skills/giving or helping them achieve life goals/helping them overcome their fears)?
- What are some activities/events that were interesting throughout your service in NCC?
- What are some interesting VIA projects/learning journeys/overseas programmes and events your own school units have done in collaboration with NCC (e.g. ICEP)?
- What made you join NCC?
- What made you continue your service even after you have graduated from your secondary schools? (For Associate Members/Cadet Officers)
- What values have you learnt from your NCC journey (leadership, discipline, sense of urgency)?
- What VIA activities has the unit done over the course of their service?

Remember to indicate cadets' Rank, Name and School on the stories sent in. Do send the stories in to garveensingh@yahoo.com.sg.

Thank you!
